Eilean Donan Castle is positioned on a small tidal island where three lochs meet, Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh, in the beautiful western Highlands of Scotland. The castle was founded in the thirteenth century.
I had a fortunate break in the dark clouds, allowing some sunlight to shine onto the Cherry Blossom trees in front of the majestic Edinburgh Castle. My first visit to this beautiful city in Scotland :)

Kilchurn Castle, first constructed in the mid 15th century, is a ruined structure positioned on Loch Awe, Scotland. The snow capped mountain hopefully helps to add some pleasing contrast.
